Beauval Zoo 1 hour from Domaine de la Roche Bellin

Everyone has heard about the births of the little pandas and well this magnificent zoo is just 1 hour from the Domaine de la Roche Bellin and it's open all year round just like us.
Beauval Zoo is home to around 10,000 animals of 600 different species over more than 40 hectares, making it one of the largest animal collections in France and Europe.
-Four greenhouses showcase birds, great apes, sloths, reptiles, manatees and Australasian animals,
-Three plains show herbivores from the African savannah (giraffes, white rhinoceroses, wildebeests, antelopes), African elephants and Asian herbivores (Indian rhinoceroses, Malaysian tapirs, antelopes, etc.).
Other installations include a Chinese zone entitled Sur les hauteurs de Chine (On the Heights of China), an African zone with La Réserve des Hippos (The Hippo Reserve) and La Terre des lions (Land of the Lions), as well as two areas dedicated to shows: the sea lion pool presenting L'Odyssée des lions de mer (The Sea Lion Odyssey) and the open-air theatre for the free-flying bird show entitled Les Maîtres des airs (Masters of the Air).
Through its ‘ Beauval Nature ’ association, Beauval Zoo plays an active role in preserving biodiversity by supporting over 40 conservation and research programmes around the world, and has already reintroduced several animals to Africa.
